Edit Notes

Stardew Valley, some players who like classic Japanese RPGs are no stranger to it. It is a single-player development work, which is in the hands of ConcernedApe, although Chucklefish, the author of Star Frontiers, also assisted and is responsible for publishing the work. Back to the game itself, it's an RPG that renders idyllic life and supports up to four players playing in concert. In their own farms, players can grow crops, raise livestock, build buildings or decorate their houses. In addition, players can also visit nearby villages and markets, where they can meet other characters and marry people. Cooking, fishing, handicrafts, exploring randomly generated caves, finding new resources, fighting with monsters and more.

Developer Notes

Stardew Valley is a simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone. It was first released 2016. In the game, you play the role that takes over your deceased grandfather's dilapidated farm in a place known as Stardew Valley. It’s an open-ended game. You can take on activities such as growing crops, raising livestock, crafting goods, mining for ores, selling produce, and socializing with the townspeople, including marriage and having children. It also allows up to three other players to play together online. You can also interact with non-player characters (NPCs) that inhabit the town, including engaging in relationships with them; this can culminate in marriage, which results in the NPC helping the player's character to tend the farm. All of these activities must be metered against your current health and exhaustion level, and the game's internal clock. There are some essential tips for you, if this is the first time you play Stardew Valley. In the game, you have a TV set that has a few channels that deliver daily information and tips. Check your TV every morning to learn the following: 1) Weather Report – this tells you the weather for tomorrow. Watch out for rainy days those you do not need to water the plants, so that you can use your energy on other things. 2) Fortune Teller - it tells you how your lucks is today. You will have more successful experiences on the days with Good Luck. 3) Livin’ Off The Land – this will give you good advices and tip. When you first start the game, you get a handful of parsnip seeds you can use to complete a required task – “Cultivate and harvest a parsnip”. To complete this task, you only need to cultivate and harvest one parsnip, so use the parsnip seed to plant one, then take the rest of your seeds to Pierre’s shop in the center of town. Sell the rest of your seeds and buy a crop with a more lucrative yield: potatoes. Why potatoes? The profit margin on parsnips is $15, as compared to profit margin on potatoes will give you $30. Not only that, spuds have a chance to give you two potatoes per harvest, this can increase your profits even further. It’s important to know your season and keep track of the seasons and how long each crop takes to cultivate. Each season in the game is 28 in-game days. If you’re still growing a seasonal crop and the seasons turn over, those crops will instantly go bad. Pay attention to what day you’re in during a season, especially when planting crops that can take up to two in-game weeks to grow. One of the fun part of this game is adventuring in the mines. The mines feel less like a farming game and more like an adventure game, complete with sword swinging and enemies to defeat. Outside of the thrill of battle, there’s also important resources you can find like copper, iron, and gold ore. You’ll need these to build more advanced tools like sprinklers and tool upgrades. Keep in mind that as you go deeper into the mines, there’s an elevator back to the surface every five floors, with bonus items every 10 floors. Use that knowledge to determine how far you should go during each trip. Most importantly is you must stay alive. Stardew Valley sold over 400,000 copies across Steam and GOG.com in two weeks, and more than a million within two months. Valve reported that Stardew Valley was in the top 24 revenue-generating games on Steam during 2016.
